United States: The recent airstrike by the Israeli Defense Force has flattened the entire block of apartment buildings in the Bureji refugee camp. Several reports have outlined that the recent attack has destroyed two UN schools-turned-shelters.
Following the attack, the nearby Al-Aqsa Hospital was overflooded with Palestinian patients, which were covered with rubble. The hospitals were reported to be too packed after the arrival of civilians.
The report by the Associated Press has mentioned that it is hard to distinguish between the living and the dead children covered with a gray film. The bodies, which are motionless and tiny, were found lying on the hospital floor.
It is to be noted that the children in the region are dealing with mental trauma and disturbance amid this conflict. The small children are reportedly afraid of medics – treating them.
In a viral video, one of the boys was heard screaming, “Here they are, America! Here they are, Israel! They are children. Our children die every day.”
Children death toll in Palestinian
Reports by the Gazan health authorities have stated that more than 3,700 children and minors from Palestinians have lost their lives during this conflict between Israel and Hamas. It is to be noted that around 2.3 million people – which makes up half of the territory’s population, have lost their homes and are living without basic necessities such as food, water and fuel.
Many reports have been expected that following the ground invasion by the Israeli troops, the death toll will witness a surge.
Israel-Hamas attack
The war between Israel and Hamas started after a surprise attack by the group on Israel on October 7. The attack killed around 1,400 Israeli people, and the militants seized more than 240 people, according to the data shared by the Israeli authorities.
Israeli Defense Force immediately responded and launched an attack from all means, including air, land and sea. This counter-attack has killed more than 9,000 Palestinians in Gaza – as per the details by the Health Ministry in Hamas-ruled Gaza.
According to various reports, it is the fifth and by far the deadliest war between both enemies.
Why did the Israeli Defense Force attack Bureji?
The Defense Forces of Israel did not immediately comment on why it targeted Bureji as the authorities asked the general public to go to the area and stay safe from the heavy fighting.
While responding, the army of Israel accused the Hamas militants of using civilians as human shields and underscored that they were targeting Hamas military command centers, which are hiding in civilian areas. However, there was Bureji’s name was not specifically highlighted during the statement.
On Thursday, the strikes at Bureji killed more than 15 civilians, according to the reports by the Civil Defense of Gaza. Further, it outlined that the data is hesitant as many of the people are believed to be buried in the rubble.
Hospitals are suffering from fuel shortage and an overflow of patients
The reports suggested that because of the crippled infrastructure and fuel shortages, the paramedics were failing to provide assistance.
