United States: Another severe case has been reported linked to a “flesh-eating” disease. The person has been seeking medical treatment in a hospital in San Diego and has been identified as Ryan Busto, who is 41 years old and lives in Metro Vancouver.

According to the reports, the current situation of the person is very critical. The friends and close relatives of the person have been raising money to help him out.

How does infection grab Busto?

According to one of his friend – Tara Rosenberg, who is one of the fundraiser, Busto has been dealing with flu-like symptoms after returning from a group cycling tour. Along with these, he was also suffering with very severe saddle sore.

After dealing with such symptoms, he was admitted in an induced coma and was transferred from ECMO to ICD in an intensive care unit.

Statements by Busto’s family!

While sharing the health update about her brother, Dominique Busto told News 10, “He’s like an amazing, amazing human, and I don’t just say that because he’s my brother. We got a call saying his heart function had dropped down to 10 percent, and we were just throwing things in a carry-on suitcase, booking flights.”

She furthermore highlighted that by Saturday, Busto’s heart was just 50 percent functional. She was quoted saying, “Waking up my parents to that news — it’s just not anything I would wish on any family. Having to come down to San Diego and not knowing what was going to go on. Were we going to come down here just to find a lifeless body, or was he going to pull through? We didn’t know what we were going to find,” according to News 10.

She further continued, “If you have a small scrape, if you have a saddle sore and you’re feeling … the beginnings of the flu coming on, that is a major sign. Get yourself checked so it doesn’t get to the point that Ryan’s at.”

Another case linked to flesh-eating disease!

Earlier, an assistant fire chief with Vancouver Fire and Rescue – Christopher Won, suffered from a contagious infection, which resulted in the amputation of his leg. He fell sick while he was on holiday in Hong Kong.
